So tired
Feeling tired Busy Girl? If you're anything like me, as soon as the light starts to fade (shockingly at 3pm nowadays) I start to feel lethargic & really slow down. By the time it's totally dark (yes, at only 5pm) I'm ready to hit the sack!
A study by Top Sante & Actimel drinks has shown we're not alone, with 3/4 of women in their thirties getting only six hours sleep a night, while their days are so hectic that most don't have time to stop & eat.
According to the same study, most thirty & forty-somethings feel tired all the time, whilst trying to juggle their frantic lifestyles & poor eating habits. The survey took place with 2,000 women, of an average age of 35 - respondents said that combining the demands of home & work made a woman's 30s her "hardest decade".
The proof is in the numbers...
85% of thirtysomething women say they frequently feel tired
59% of these feel tired all the time
1/4 of Busy women have seven or eight hours sleep a night,
3/4 normally only get six hours sleep a night
40% often manage on less than six hours sleep a night!
Results also show that us Busy Girls snack, eat on the hoof, & almost 1/2 regularly phone in sick!
How's your health throughout all this tiredness?
1/10 of Busy women has heart palpitations, 1/4 suffer from asthma or eczema, & 1/10 suffers from regular shortness of breath.
Lifestyle coach & Busy Girls Guide Founder Lucy says, "We know that our body can only take so much, so many of our outward symptoms, like eczema & asthma attacks are merely our body's way of telling us to slow down."
"Tiredness, stress, low immunity & a reliance on snacks like sugary biscuits & salty crisps can only lead to a worse physical condition & ill effects"
So Busy Girl, we recommend you avoid becoming a statistic & start looking after yourself this New Year...
only 1/12 of all thirty & forty year old women surveyed thought that eating breakfast was a priority - do you?
