Eleven Didsbury Park Review
Location
Tranquil, leafy street of Didsbury Park - a graceful Victorian town house oozing suburban charm.
Greeting
I was greeted by the very well-spoken & friendly concierge, who swiftly booked me in & showed me to my room where soft classical music played soothingly.
Interior
Eleven Didsbury Park's interior design features rich leather, delicate silk, cool Egyptian cotton & soft wool. The smooth cream walls have black & white prints; warm beige carpets, sultry brown walnut furniture & rich splashes of aubergine & violet soft furnishings, featuring subtle touches - an antique birdcage or ornate silver lamp stand.
Food & drink
Although there's no restaurant, a deli menu is available for guests to enjoy in their bedroom, in the cosy lounge bar, or the tranquil surroundings of the walled garden. Options vary from soup of the day (£4.95) to an 8-ounce ribeye steak (£15.95), plus desserts, coffees & a decent wine list, including non-vintage champagnes.
Events
General manager Andrew Hughes revealed that it has previously hosted weddings, christenings, anniversaries, private dinners & celebrity photo shoots.
Rates
From £140 for one of the contemporary & cosy classic double rooms.
