Review: clear skin soluble acne treatment
Health & Beauty
Over 30 and still getting spots? We review a brand new drinkable treatment which claims to rid those pesky bumps in a matter of weeks...
help: clear skin is a brand new formulation from innovative water company 'Works with water'. The sachets promise to actively help reduce acne. the product itself is a soluble food supplement, which you stir into water or juice, providing a convenient way to treat your spots.
help:clear skin comes in cute little sachets. You're supposed to dissolve 1 sachet twice daily into your drink or sprinkle it onto soft food. We didn't like the idea of having it on our food, so we put the sachets into drinks.
The only problem we found with this, was that it didn't dissolve very easily. So, we took to putting it in a bottle of drink and then shaking it to dissolve, which worked well. help: clear skin claims to offer clearer, healthier, blemish-free skin in as little as 8 weeks.
So, the results:
We decided to test help: clear skin on Jane, 32 who suffers with monthly adult spot outbreaks. After a week of use Jane couldn't see any particular improvement. As with any new regime, she found it hard just to remember to take the sachets. Jane decided to keep the sachets next to the sink in the kitchen to encourage her to remember to add them to her drinks. She also took some help:clear skin sachets into work with her, but found them at the bottom of her bag at the end of each day! Discipline, BusyGirl!
Jane persevered and continued into week 2. After 2 weeks Jane reported that her skin felt a lot smoother and she hadn't got her monthly spot. She also reported that she had been drinking far more water, as she had been getting used to taking the sachets, and felt a lot better for it.
After 4 weeks, Jane didn't see any significant improvement from week 2, but having consulted the website, www.workswithwater.co.uk we have all agreed that this treatment may be more effective for severe acne, like back acne and teen / young adult acne.
It's been a few weeks now since Jane tried help: clear skin, she's continued to drink more water, daily, and feels better for it! She still gets the odd spot, but these seem to be less angry and take less time to fade - a pretty good result.
OVERALL VERDICT: 4/5 - worth trying if you are suffering from pretty bad acne / spot outbreaks.
help: clear skin - can be purchased directly from www.workswithwater.co.uk for £49.99 for a 30day pack.
