Halloween Party Food - Fast!
Home & Finances
Yes, BusyMum, Halloween is fast approaching! So if you need some tips for arranging a ghoulish gathering for the children, you may like our fast fiendish food suggestions...
Kevin Slatter at cakestoyourdoor.co.uk sent in some fab tips to make our BusyMum readers' Halloween events that little bit extra tasty. Get freaky with your Halloween party food, BusyGirl!
Ghostly eggs - hard boil some eggs, slice in half (widthways), scoop out the yolk and mix with grated cheese and mayonnaise. Place the filling back into the egg and top with two raisins for eyes.
Witches fingernails - cut the crusts off white bread, spread with strawberry or raspberry jam and roll up into a long finger shape. Make small cuts in the finger shape to create life-like creases. Use almond nuts for the finger nails and a squeeze of tomato sauce for blood!
Floating Ghosts - cut some ready-rolled white sugar paste icing into circles and lie on top of a mini Swiss-roll to give a floating effect. Use the edge of a knife to create its eye-holes!
Vampires blood cocktail - mix blackcurrant juice with lemonade and serve in a jug. Imagination works for this one and the red bubbles look a bit hideous!
Chicken wings - in a spicy sauce can be renamed ‘bat wings' - the children will love it!
Jam tarts - make great ‘vampire blood baths' - you get it BusyGirl, just be creative!
Or, you could trea yourself to a fabulous Halloween cake. We love the ghostly cakes from cakestoyourdoor.co.uk which are delivered direct to your door for a really show-stopping (stress-free) centre piece.
