Busy Girls review Sapporo Manchester

Sapporo is Manchester's newest Japanese Teppenyaki restaurant - so we sent one of our Busy Girls to try out Sapporo's unique entertainment, canal side.

what?

Sapporo is a spacious Japanese Teppanyaki & Sushi restaurant. If you fancy trying Teppenyaki, Sapporo's expert chefs will prepare your food at your own dedicated grill station. For the more serene amongst us, Sapporo combines features a top quality traditional sushi bar.

Sapporo is based on Liverpool Street in Manchester - straight over Deansgate on the left hand side click here for map.

where can I park?

There are single yellow lines outside Sapporo so after 6pm it's free.

what is Teppenyaki?

Teppanyaki restaurants have traditional Japanese chefs cooking your food in front of you on huge steel hot plates. Sapporo is huge so groups of up to 20 of you can sit & dine together! Teppenyake is all about real entertainment - Sapporo's chefs really play to their audience tossing fresh eggs in the air & performing real chef acrobatics!

What's on the menu?

Teppenyaki cooking means that everything is freshly cooked in front of you - you won't taste steak like it, anywhere. The prawn tempura starters are ridiculously fresh & melt in your mouth, the cucumber sushi rolls give you a taste sensation which will have you addicted, whilst the Sapporo chocolate spring rolls... fine hot melted chocolate in crispy sweet lightly fried pancakes - absolutely divine.

Is it for me?

Sapporo is perfect for groups & big parties - nowhere else can 20 people dine on the same table together.
Great for an impressive meal, Sapporo won't fail to put a smile on your guests' faces. Avoid if you're looking for a romantic peaceful or quiet date, Sapporo is action packed & real fun

Busy Tip Why not try Sapporo on a first date? If you're worried about staring into each others eyes with nothing to say - Sapporo's entertainment is a perfect ice-breaking distraction.

when's best to go?

Sapporo's busiest days are Thursday & Saturday evenings. If you're looking for a romantic night out for two, try one of their less chocca evenings - when it's busy, Sapporo's 200+ capacity really buzzes.

Sapporo is open Monday to Saturday 12.00noon to 11.00pm & Sunday 12.00noon to 10.30pm
