A splendid, well-restored, stately country home, set in 400 acres of peaceful park & woodland, overlooking the tranquil Bassenthwaite Lake in the north of the Lake District.

Trotter's World of Animals is located in the hotel grounds, just a couple of minutes' walk from the main building. Gibbons, lemurs, meercats, otters, birds of prey, zebras, reptiles, guinea pigs & many more exotic & domestic creatures can be spotted here.

The 'FreeBee Club' offers various activities to keep your little ones happy, including free entry to Trotter's World of Animals, sports & baby-sitting facilities.

Christmas at Armathwaite Hall 2007 includes black tie festive dinners, Christmas carols on the piano, a visit from Father Christmas, a candlelit walk around the grounds, magicians and games for the kids, medieval evening, casino night & a bucks fizz breakfast.
How much?
Prices start from £130 for single occupancy, & from 1£05 per person for two or more per room, including bed & full English breakfast. Up to two children under 12, sharing with two adults, can stay for free, including breakfast.
