Unless you've been under a rock for the last few months, you'll have heard about Apple's plans to combine the iPod with a mobile & bring us the ultimate personal accessory - The Apple iPhone.

Now, we all know that mobile phones change in style more often than Jodie Marsh's belt bras. We could buy a new one every month to keep up with the Joneses but end of the day, we need a phone that looks the part, works easily, has good signal & fits in our handbag (not hard if you're like me & carry an over-the-shoulder body bag).

But, excuse me, we like to look the part - there's nothing worse than dropping our phone in our tea & resorting back to our 'old brick' for a few weeks. So, when we heard the first reported 'sighting' of the Apple iPhone, we had to bring you the lowdown. Afterall, if you need an upgrade soon, it may be worth waiting for...

What is it?

The Apple iPhone is a combination of an iPod & mobile phone - the iPhone syncs with your computer just like an iPod, so you can text, email, surf, listen, take pics & watch movie clips.

What are the iPhone's features?

A 3.5inch display, fully operational iPod music & movie download & playback, all the normal phone facilities, flat touch-screen display. It comes in normal size (the same as the big iPod), Nano (perfect for your clutch) & Shuffle (the same as the iPod shuffle). Very very cute.

iPHONE UPDATE: The Apple iPhone will be in O2 stores only from the 9th November. It is priced at approx £265 & can be bought on contract with O2. Please see in store for upgrade options.

Don't forget, this is one of the most sought after phones of the last few years, so there are waiting lists which will be fulfilled first - if you want an iPhone before Xmas you'll need to order now.
